Behold, bless ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, which by night stand in the house of the LORD. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD. The LORD that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion. (Psalm 134)
Praise and Blessing in Zion
The last cloud of smoke from the
Evening sacrifice has mixed with
The blue sky. The last note of the
Evening hymn has died away.
The night watch has begun. The crowd
Is leaving. Their hearts are filled with
Piety as they leave with a touching,
Song and a holy prayer.
“Behold, bless ye the LORD, all ye servants
of the LORD which by night stand in the
house of the LORD. Lift up your hands in
the sanctuary and bless the LORD.”
When night settles down on a church,
The Lord has his holy ones guarding
The truth and blessing the Lord even
When the darkest hours draw on.
Paul and Silas sang praises to God
At night, and while they were singing the
The foundation of the prison were shaken,
And the prison doors flew open.
What will happen if you take God
Seriously in worship? The psalmist
Says, “The maker of heaven and earth” will
“bless you from Zion,” in our daily lives.
